Congratulations to all of the owners of the Cool Guitar foals. We are proud to announce the Cool Guitar Foal Incentive, starting in 2028. Every Cool Guitar sired horse who has been born is eligible.

Here is what your foal can step out and earn.

Every foal counts
Any horse sired by Cool Guitar that has already been born is eligible.
When
Debuts in 2028
Payouts begin at the 2028 NCHA Futurity in Fort Worth.
Age
Three year olds
Checks go to three year old Cool Guitar horses that make the cut.
Rounds
Finals and Semis
Rewarded at the Finals and, for some, the Semi Finals.

The fine print, in plain terms

Good to know

Eligibility is automatic
Any horse sired by Cool Guitar that has been born is eligible. There is nothing extra to nominate or enroll.

It starts at the 2028 NCHA Futurity
The incentive applies to three year olds sired by Cool Guitar beginning with the 2028 NCHA Futurity.

Finalists earn the Finals check
A horse that reaches the Finals receives the Finals incentive for its division. Finalists do not also receive the Semi Finals incentive.

Semi Finalists earn too
The Semi Finals incentive is paid to horses that make the Semi Finals and do not advance to the Finals.

Intermediate and Limited pay the Finals
The Intermediate and Limited divisions pay on the Finals only.
